Day rate: £200-£230 per day inside IR35

Job Purpose:
To provide practical and emotional support to children, young people, and their families across the district. The Senior Family Support Worker/ Family Support Worker will work as part of an integrated team to improve outcomes for children and families, focusing on safeguarding, wellbeing, and early help. This role supports families experiencing a range of complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work directly with families to assess needs and deliver targeted interventions.
* Develop and implement support plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
* Contribute to Early Help Assessments (EHA) and participate in Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings.
* Provide parenting support and practical assistance to improve home environments, routines, and relationships.
* Work with schools, health professionals, social workers, and other agencies to ensure coordinated and effective service delivery.
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential case records using the Trust's electronic case management system.
* Support safeguarding processes by identifying risks and escalating concerns
* Promote the voice of the child and ensure their needs and wishes are central to all planning and interventions.
* Encourage family engagement with community services, activities, and educational opportunities.
* Contribute to service evaluations and continuous improvement.
Key:
* Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support or outreach role
* Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation
* Ability to work effectively in challenging and emotionally demanding situations
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
* Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Childcare, or equivalent)
* Experience using case management systems and recording interventions
