As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge aerospace products. Your expertise in Avionics, Aviation Software, or Aerospace Quality Assurance will be instrumental in shaping the future of aviation technology.
You will report directly to our Sr Certification Engr Manager, and you'll work out of our Yeovil, UK location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct design/development audits on work performed at Honeywell Aerospace sites and internal/external engineering supplier audits sites
2. Participate in specific development activities throughout the product’s life cycle from concept through production to assure process compliance and efficiency
3. Assess engineering activities, reporting, and tracking of non-conformances as they pertain to software, hardware, and system standards (customer, military, regulatory, AS9100/AS9115, DO-178(), DO-254, ARP4754A),
4. Provide assurance that systems, software, and hardware engineering activities comply with defined procedures,
5. Interface with and support product and site level assessments by external customers,
6. Providing feedback and guidance to engineering teams and project management regarding overall design and development compliance,
7. Participation as quality representative in all design/test/peer reviews, ensuring entry and exit criteria are determined and met as per command media,
8. This role will require the appointed candidate to become the engineering quality signatory for all drawings and documents created in engineering, ensuring quality requirements are built into the drawings and documents.
9. Ensure supplier quality organizations are aligned with Honeywell and customer requirements and expectations
10. Interface with site quality leadership, regulatory personnel and external customers as necessary.
11. Determine high areas of risk in the engineering area of responsibility and design audit plans to reduce risk
12. Limited domestic travel may be required.
YOU MUST HAVE
13. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Avionics, Aerospace, Software, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field
14. 8+ years of experience in an engineering development role (., Systems, Software, Hardware, Firmware) OR 8+ years in a quality assurance role within aerospace.

18. Experience as an auditor is a plus.
19. Familiarity with industry standards such as DO-178, DO-254, DO-160, AS9100, AS9115, ARP-4754A, customer, military.
20. Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to various audiences.
21. Individuals who are self-motivated and who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
22. Demonstrated experience in monitoring engineering development activities to ensure quality.
