About Us:
Drift Academy CIC delivers innovative training for jobseekers and young people across the UK. Our focus is on future-ready skills including digital creativity, AI, wellbeing for work, CV and job applications, financial literacy, and side hustles. We work closely with Jobcentres, schools, and community partners to give learners the skills and confidence to step into employment or self-employment.
The Role:
We are seeking engaging freelance trainers to deliver our short courses and workshops both online (via Teams/Zoom) and in-person at partner sites. Courses range from 1-day sessions to 4-week programmes.
You Will:
Deliver training using Drift Academy's materials (lesson plans, handbooks, and slides provided).
* Create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
* Adapt delivery to different learner needs and abilities.
* Provide feedback and encouragement to learners.
* Report learner attendance and progress to Drift Academy.
Courses include (training will be given):
* Wellbeing & Confidence for Work
* Side Hustles & Content Creation
* CVs & Applications Made Easy
* Budgeting in a Day
* AI & Creativity
* Digital Beauty & Self-Expression
Requirements:
* Previous teaching, training, or coaching experience (formal or informal).
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Comfortable using online platforms (Teams/Zoom).
* A passion for helping learners succeed.
Contract & Pay:
* Freelance, flexible delivery.
* Day rate: £150–£200 depending on course length and experience.
* Training and induction provided.
Location:
* South London & surrounding areas (with occasional remote delivery).

Duties
* Design and implement comprehensive training programmes tailored to various learning styles.
* Conduct engaging presentations and workshops to effectively convey information.
* Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and observations to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
* Develop instructional materials using Adobe Captivate and other tools to create interactive learning experiences.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through feedback and assessments, making necessary adjustments for improvement.
* Collaborate with management to align training objectives with organisational goals.
* Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees post-training to reinforce learning outcomes.
Experience
* Proven experience in a training or teaching role, demonstrating strong presentation skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
* Familiarity with e-learning software, particularly Adobe Captivate, is preferred.
* A background in instructional design or curriculum development is advantageous but not mandatory.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment are essential qualities for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
