College Community Support Officer [Ref:BRN6738]
Pro rata of £27,785 to £30,364 per annum (i.e. £8,336.83 - £8,938.76 per annum)
12 hours per week, 40 weeks per year - term time only
We are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate for this high-profile role.
You will be an integral member of the College Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team working alongside our Nurses, Counsellors and Support staff to ensure all our learners have the opportunity to experience our college in a safe and secure environment.
You will be the point of contact and link for the Brinsbury buses in connection with Compass Bus Company. You will also be a point of contact for students and staff with queries relating to the buses at Brinsbury. This would include dealing with incidents, contact with Compass and requesting new or replacement bus passes.
We are looking for a charismatic, determined and confident person who has the ability and skills to engage hard to reach groups and disengaged learners as well as to develop and co-ordinate activities that promote social cohesion and integration.
You will need to demonstrate experience of working with a range of diverse community-based groups and young people.
You will be educated to GCSE maths and English Language or equivalent, Grade C/4 or above and hold a Level 3 qualification in relevant subject area, e.g. Coaching, Health and Social Care, Youth Work.
