Empowerment Charity Lancashire The Den Senior Practitioner (Internal) Blackpool, Lancashire, United Kingdom Role Purpose: To lead and oversee the implementation of high-quality service provision across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, with a focus on empowering and enabling young people to have a voice by providing them with information, advice and support around Domestic Abuse. The role involves supervising staff on a day-to-day basis, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, maintaining strong links with partner agencies, and building future collaborations to meet the needs of children and young people affected by domestic abuse. Additionally, the role involves holding a small caseload of complex cases as required and ensuring the protection and promotion of the rights of young victims of domestic abuse, and to deputise for the Domestic Abuse Manager as needed in their absence. Main Responsibilities will include; To provide advice, guidance, support and decision-making to the rest of The Den Team in the absence of the manager. To supervise and provide line management support to a team of Children’s IDVA’s. To represent The Den at key strategic and operational meetings. To plan and ensure an effective service delivery of the CIDVA service throughout Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde, delivering high quality services for child victims of domestic abuse. To co-ordinate the training and ongoing support for new staff and social work students. Develop the service and ensure programmes are in place to meet the need of the CYP accessing the service. Support young people either on a 1-1 or group basis to develop their confidence and emotional well-being, understand safety and dynamics of domestic abuse.
