🌟 SEND Teaching Assistant – PMLD & Complex Needs

Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic specialist school in Oldbury, supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and a range of complex needs.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Supporting pupils with significant physical, learning, and sensory needs in the classroom and through therapeutic activities.
2. Providing personal care and assisting with mobility (hoists and specialist equipment – full training provided if needed).
3. Helping deliver individualised learning plans and communication support.
4. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a positive, consistent learning experience.
5. Encouraging independence and celebrating every achievement – big or small.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
6. Experience working with pupils with PMLD, complex medical needs, or in a care/support setting.
7. MUST have a level 3 UK qualification and a minimum of 6 months experience working in the UK
8. Kindness, patience, and emotional resilience – a must.
9. Confidence in assisting with personal care and physical support.
10. A proactive and team-focused attitude.
11. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
