Role purpose:
To process defective stock from engineers, which may be customer or SCC owned, through the repair centre or back into the stores team.
Security clearance or willingness to apply is required for this role.
Key responsibilities:
* Unload vehicles using the correct MHE and PPE, correctly use pallet trucks, trolleys, and move items safely, including two-man lifts.
* Scan and verify manifested returns, escalating if unsafe or if the courier has not delivered safely to a loading bay.
* Escalate delivery issues to the team and courier, checking if boxes are open, verifying references, etc.
* Document estimated dates in the system upon receipt of returns, send good products to the stores for verification, and retain defective products.
* Verify make, model, serial number, and asset of returned products before transferring to the correct bin ID.
* Create repair centre work orders and RMA processing sheets, displaying all serial numbers relevant to the product.
* Conduct inspections, document damages, and communicate findings with photographic evidence.
* Initiate warranty processes for defective products during imaging, pass products to the repair centre, and create work orders.
* Process engineer returns, ensuring all products have return labels and relevant documentation.
Skills and experience:
* Ability to conduct inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies accurately.
* High attention to detail to maintain inventory integrity.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to articulate findings, propose solutions, and collaborate effectively.
* Provide timely updates and maintain transparency throughout the work order process.
