 
        
        Hays Education is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Wolverhampton to recruit amitted Level 2 or Level 3 qualified SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role within the school’s Inclusion Hub.
This Wolverhampton-based primary school is part of a multi-faith academy trust and is known for its values-led approach, promoting respect,passion, and excellence. The Inclusion Hub is a dedicated space where children with additional needs receive focused support in a calm and structured environment. Staff aremitted to professional development and fostering a culture of care and achievement.
You will be providing 1:1 support for a child with Autism who is non-verbal, working closely with the school’s SEN team to implement strategies outlined in the child’s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). The role involves supportingmunication and sensory needs, using Makaton, and logging progress daily to contribute to ongoing reviews and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
 1. Deliver tailored support in line with the EHCP
 2. Use Makaton to aidmunication and engagement
 3. Provide personal care and emotional support as needed
 4. Record and monitor progress against learning and developmental targets
 5. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
What you'll need to succeed
 6. Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent
 7. Experience supporting children with Autism andplex needs
 8. Strong working knowledge of Makaton
 9. Understanding of EHCPs and how to implement them effectively
 10. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to inclusive education
