Warehouse Operative Location: Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire Job Type: Full-time / Permanent (can be adjusted to temp, part-time, or shift work) Salary: £12.21 £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience and shift pattern) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, (overtime may be available) Role Overview We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our busy team in Heckmondwike. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of warehouse operations, including goods in/out, stock control, and order fulfilment. Key Responsibilities Receive, check, and store incoming goods and materials. Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently. Load and unload delivery vehicles safely. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (training can be provided if required). Carry out regular stock checks and assist with inventory control. Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies. Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to meet daily targets. Skills and Experience Required Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment (preferred but not essential). Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and completing paperwork. Physically fit and able to lift and move items safely. Reliable, punctual, and a good team player. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach Truck) desirable but not essential training may be provided.
