Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Wylam Brewery. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment while providing exceptional service to our guests. Wylam is a dynamic venue, consisting of weddings, live shows, Sunday lunches, food and drink festivals and corporate functions, so the ideal candidate will possess a strong background in a service-forward role, team management, along with a passion for hospitality and leadership in an event-driven environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the daily operation, ensuring high standards of service.
* Supervise and train staff members, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving service and operational efficiency.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the venue, adhering to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a management role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers alike.
