Date posted: 26 January 2026 Pay: £30 - £38 per hour Job Description: Agency: Bluestones Medical Location: Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time Agency Role Overview Bluestones Medical is recruiting experienced Endoscopy Nurses to support service delivery at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured endoscopy unit, supporting the full patient pathway from admission through to recovery. Support all areas of the endoscopy service, including patient admissions, in-room procedural support, and post-procedure recovery care Work closely with consultants, lead nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective patient care Ensure scoping rooms are turned around efficiently and flag urgent or suspected cancer cases in Medilogic Shift Times Start: 08:30 Finish: 17:00 1-hour unpaid lunch break (option to reduce lunch for an earlier finish) Key Responsibilities Admit patients into the endoscopy unit and complete safety checks, observations, and cannulation if required Prepare patients for procedures, including assisting with gowns and personal belongings Support consultants and lead nurses during procedures, including preparing and administering sedation medications Provide direct procedural support throughout endoscopy procedures Monitor patients in Stage 1 Recovery (open ward with curtained bays) for up to 1 hour, provide refreshments, and handover from in-room nurse Monitor patients in Stage 2 Recovery (waiting room with drinks and snacks) and arrange collection by next of kin Ensure timely and accurate documentation of procedures and patient care in Medilogic Maintain high standards of patient safety, dignity, and comfort throughout the pathway Requirements Active NMC registration Previous endoscopy experience Confident working across admissions, procedures, and recovery Strong communication and patient care skills Ability to work independently and within a team Right to work in the UK Up-to-date mandatory training and compliance documents (or willingness to complete) What Bluestones Medical Offers Competitive agency pay rates (£30 - £38 per hour) Weekly payroll Holiday pay Inclusion in staff pension Recommend a friend scheme Dedicated consultant support 365 days per year Back-office support PAYE and Umbrella pay options Rapid pay Apply today to avoid missing out!
