Cobb & Jones are exclusively supporting a small, yet complex Group of companies in their search for a new Head of Finance, reporting into the Finance Director. The Head of Finance will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Group finance function, team management, and management accounts.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the accuracy and delivery of monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and other reports relevant to Board Reports.
2. Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team.
3. Support the year-end process for the Group, including external audits and statutory accounts.
4. Ensure timely submission of quarterly VAT returns.
5. Manage bank relationships.
6. Handle cash flow management and forecasting.
7. Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, including non-financial management and department heads, to maximize company performance.
8. Lead system and process improvements within the finance function.
9. Assist the wider Group with long-term business modeling.
Profile:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). QBE profiles are not accepted for this role.
* Experience managing and mentoring teams of at least 5-10 members.
* Significant experience in similar roles such as Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Finance Director.
* Proven record of continuous improvement through tangible achievements.
* Experience with various systems, preferably ERP; specific system experience is not essential.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships at various levels.
