The Opportunity: Service Controller

United Plant Services is an engineering and asset management business, renowned for providing market leading engineering support and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste industry. We are part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland. The Impact you will have:
Company Health and Safety guidelines to be followed at all times, both internally and externally, ensuring our colleagues and customers are safe
Deliver industry leading business performance to exceed regional targets. Ensure relevant authorities are obtained prior to starting chargeable work
Saturday morning telephone cover (Rota)
Maintain effective communication keeping all relevant parties always informed and managing expectations
Prioritise and schedule all work activities to meet customer expectations in accordance with the Company's contractual requirements and KPIs. Forward planning of resources within the team to include, but not limited to, all priority Vehicle Off Road, Non-Vehicle Off Road, Urgent Estimates and liaising third party service providers where specialist assistance is required
Control and monitor work in progress by ensuring jobs are completed in the field in a timely manner and invoiced when completed in line with department KPI's
Take ownership and complete urgent estimates (Asset VOR) within 12 working hours, including following estimate up for acceptance
Manage supplier performance in accordance with agreed SLA's and escalate issues as
appropriate
Actively promote team working ethic and provide support to cover colleagues as and when necessary
Answer calls in line with agreed KPI's
Effectively problem solve and take ownership of issues to resolution
Support with compliance activity when required
Support service management team including but not limited to, opening and closing building, arranging weekend rota's
Monitor and manage out of hours activity when required by Tarmac
Support the training of new team members
Optimise business opportunities to generate additional revenue
Undertake any reasonable task requested by a Regional Line Manager

Qualified Plant Engineer – OEM trained
Ability to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
Significant numerically competent
Experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload
Ability to engage with customers
Demonstrable IT skills, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
