We are currently seeking a self-motivated, independent, organized, and resourceful Senior Cancer Pathway Navigator to join our Cancer Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the clinical team in implementing early diagnostic pathways for patients with suspected head & neck cancer to achieve definitive diagnosis by day 28.
2. Improve patient experience by providing accessible, friendly non-clinical support for patients and their families.
3. Provide support and information throughout the diagnostic patient journey to reduce anxiety and ensure patients are well-prepared for interventions/tests.
4. Work closely with the Lead Cancer Manager, Cancer Services, Consultants, and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure the delivery of cancer performance targets and enhance patient experience.
Candidate Requirements:
* Excellent written and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage time effectively and organize workload.
* Ability to work under pressure and be a conscientious team player.
* Caring and sensitive attitude, with frequent contact with patients and families.
