Overview
Reporting to our Director of Therapy Services this is a key post in working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to enable our patients and their families to positively impact on our patients recovery and quality of life. Ideally you would be Band 6 or senior Band 5.
Responsibilities
* Lead in the provision of a creative and stimulating environment to maximise our patients physical and cognitive potential by developing, timetabling and delivering individualised therapy/activity care plans.
* Plan and organise a variety of functional activity sessions linked to therapeutic goals including kitchen skills; sensory activities; arts and crafts; games and social events for a broad range of different age groups and interests.
* Manage three Caregivers (Occupational Therapy and creative therapy assistants) as part of your role.
* Monitor patient progress in achieving overall rehabilitation goals in collaboration with the Specialist Occupational Therapist and MDT.
Team and Role Context
Work with a dedicated clinical team, volunteers and patients families to support rehabilitation and quality of life for patients with neurological conditions.
