Ashberry Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for the role of Night Support Worker for our reputable clients across Greater Manchester.
Our client's aim is to provide practical, emotional, and social support to assist individuals in their journey towards independence and personal development.
The primary purpose of this role is to work as a dedicated member of the project team, delivering high-quality, person-centred, outcome-focused support, guidance, and assistance to young people. The goal is to address their homelessness and housing needs and support their personal development to promote and sustain independent living.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Support service users in understanding their strengths, setting targets, and achieving outcomes according to a support plan, including creating and reviewing the plan.
* Regularly assess and review needs, risks, and support plans with service users.
* Work with service users both in group settings and on a one-to-one basis.
* Deliver activities and support to help service users develop life skills, independent living skills, and social skills.
* Engage additional services to meet unmet needs of service users.
* Provide support and information in various formats to meet the development and learning needs of service users.
* Complete referral, assessment, and admission processes in line with policies and procedures.
* Assist with the move-in process, ensuring flats/rooms are cleaned and prepared for new service users.
* Assist in the collection and completion of housing benefit, monitoring, and reporting processes.
Requirements:
* Understanding of the issues faced by homeless people and the ability to respond appropriately.
* Ability to plan and deliver support and activities that help service users develop their life skills, personal skills, abilities, and confidence.
* Computer skills and the ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
* Ability to follow all policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols.
* Possess or be willing to obtain and maintain a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
