Make a real difference in your community
Are you passionate about helping others live safer, healthier and more independent lives?
Join Waythrough, one of the UK’s leading mental health and social support charities, and make a lasting impact every day.
We support over 125,000 people each year through our 200 services, empowering individuals to overcome challenges around mental health, housing, and substance use.
About the Role
Tower House is a supported housing service for adults experiencing mental ill health, operating on a recovery model. We provide a range of person-centred support options (including supported housing, outreach support, and peer support) helping individuals build confidence, independence, and community connections.
We’ve been proudly supporting people across the local area for many years, offering a staffed service for residents aged 18 and over.
As a Recovery Worker, you’ll help and inspire the people who use our services to maintain their tenancies and live as independently as possible.
What You’ll Do
1. Develop and deliver personalised support plans based on their goals and aspirations.
2. Support with daily living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and managing finances.
3. Encourage participation in education, employment, and leisure activities.
4. Empower individuals to build confidence and make positive choices about their recovery journey.
You’ll work both independently and as part of a supportive team, ensuring that everyone you support has the opportunity to thrive.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
No specific experience is required — full training will be provided. What matters most is your compassion, empathy, and enthusiasm for helping others.
We also welcome applications from people with an understanding of mental health issues or lived experience of recovery.
You’ll need to be comfortable working a varied shift pattern, including evenings and sleep-in shifts, and be part of a weekly rota system with on-call duties when needed.
