As part of our forward-thinking and nationally respected IT function, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Consultant to join our dynamic Vulnerability Management Team.
What you’ll do:
As a Senior Infrastructure Consultant within the Vulnerability Management Team, you will provide technical expertise for enterprise IT solutions, ensuring they operate effectively and remain aligned with business needs, corporate strategies, and architectural standards. Your focus will be on maintaining and improving existing infrastructure services as part of BAU operations, while managing evergreen changes to keep systems secure, compliant, and up to date.
You’ll work across a broad range of technologies and act as a subject matter expert in one or more of the following areas:
Core Infrastructure
1. Windows Server
2. Virtualisation platforms (, Hyper V, VMware)
3. Linux
4. SCCM & SCOM
5. Active Directory
6. Enterprise application management
7. Understanding or exposure to PCI DSS and PSN code of connection, principles, and best practice
8. Networking
Vulnerability Management
9. Vulnerability Management including vulnerability identification, assessment, remediation and service hardening
10. Data security principles
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
11. PowerShell scripting
12. Azure DevOps
You’ll provide expert consultancy to senior management, guiding IT strategy and promoting awareness of IT policies, technologies, systems, and processes. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues, offering direction, peer reviews, coaching, and support.
What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a passionate, technically skilled professional who will have a strong technical background with expertise in enterprise-scale data centre server technologies including hyperconverged infrastructure and vulnerability management within a corporate setting.
This is a senior role for a server and vulnerability management technology subject matter expert, where you will act as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing consultancy and guidance on IT strategies and solutions.
