About the role
We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in daily store operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
As customer satisfaction is our priority, you will continually seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
Ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers is also a key part of your responsibilities.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, excellent service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Practicing safety protocols learned during training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Accurately clocking in and out for shifts.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing the shift in the absence of supervisors.
* Adhering to all safety and legal training.
* If applicable, managing Post Office operations, including passing necessary background checks.
