We’relooking for an inspiring leader to take charge of our Classroom Training function, owning everything that happens inside our Training Centres. From induction topost‑testdevelopment, CPC delivery to assessment oversight,you’llbe at the heart of how we build confident, capable, andcustomer‑focuseddrivers.

Whatyou’lldo
Lead our Classroom Training Team
1. Role‑modelhigh standardsand build a motivated,high‑performingteam of trainers.
2. Allocate daily resources and ensure consistent classroom coverage.
3. Coach, develop and support trainers,maintainingperformance and development records.
4. Conduct initialfact‑findingforHR‑relatedissues and escalate appropriately.
Deliver Outstanding Training
5. Deliver CPC and other classroom courses aligned to business needs.
6. Run engaging inductions and workshops fornew driversand engineers, includingfollow‑upreviews.
7. Keep all training contentaccurate,currentand compliant with legislative and operational changes.
8. Train staff on customer service, inclusion, diversity, ticketing, servicecontroland allTfL‑definedoperating procedures.
9. Supportgarage‑basedinterventions such as roadshows and workshops.
Oversee Assessments & Awarding Body Standards
10. Deliver and invigilate PCV theory tests and assessments in line with DVSA and awarding body requirements.
11. Ensure invigilation processes are alwaysaudit‑ready.
12. Support BTEC/awarding body tasks, including workplace observations.
Drive Compliance, Records & KPIs
13. Maintainaccurateclassroom records, including attendance,assessmentsand portfolio tracking.
14. Support scheduling,communicationsand other classroom administration.
15. Report on CPC and classroom KPIs,identifyingtrends,risksand improvement opportunities.
16. Ensure compliance with HSWA, COSHH, working time regulations and all company policies.
Collaborate & Continuously Improve
17. Liaise with examiners and stakeholders to promote courses and coordinate interventions.
18. Feed insights into wider training reviews and improvement projects.
19. Use learner feedback and assessment results to enhance delivery and standards.
20. Build strong working relationships across garages and Head Office.
Whatwe’relooking for
21. Proven experience in a driver training function, ideally within public transport or a regulated fleet environment.
22. Strong understanding of DVSA, DVLA, TfL and PCV licensing requirements.
23. Confident communicator able to influence at all levels.
24. Competent with Excel,Wordand email.
25. Experience managing performance, welfare,sicknessand HR processes.
26. Ability toplan aheadand thrive in a busy,deadline‑drivenenvironment.
27. Up‑to‑dateknowledge of UK/EU legislative changes relevant to the role.
