Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Time Served Joiner to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in all aspects of joinery work and demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship in both residential and commercial projects. As a Time Served Joiner, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality workmanship including 1st, 2nd fix, full uPVC installs of windows, doors and roofline, install of kitchens and bathrooms and all other aspects of joinery.
Your expertise will not only contribute to the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our projects but also ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople, showcasing your ability to collaborate effectively on various construction tasks. Additionally, you will mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in workmanship. The successful candidate must be dedicated to meeting deadlines while ensuring safety and quality are never compromised. Responsibilities
* Execute a variety of joinery tasks, including installing doors, windows, and cabinetry.
* Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
* Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications.
* Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship throughout all work activities.
* Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while operating tools and equipment on site.
* Collaborate and assist other tradespeople and project managers to ensure project timelines are met.
* Provide guidance and training to apprentices and junior joiners, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* Must possess a recognized joinery qualification or certification.
* Proven experience as a joiner with a portfolio of completed projects.
* Strong understanding of wood properties, joinery techniques, and construction safety protocols.
* Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail for high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
