CNC Milling Machinist (3, 4 & 5 Axis)
Location: Weymouth
Full‑time | £32,000 – £37,500 + Benefits + shift allowance
Day Shift and Night Shift Available
Responsibilities
* Setting and operating 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines
* Working from detailed engineering drawings to produce high‑quality parts
* Carrying out own inspections using tools such as verniers, micrometres and gauges
* Monitoring work throughout the process to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Keeping clear and accurate job records
* Supporting machine upkeep and preventative maintenance
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace
Qualifications
* Solid experience with CNC milling (multi‑axis preferred)
* Familiarity with Heidenhain controls (essential)
* Programming knowledge is a bonus, but not a deal‑breaker
* Experience in precision engineering (aerospace background a plus)
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings confidently
* Engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) or time‑served
* Someone who can juggle priorities, stay organised, and keep standards high
Shift Details
* Day Shift: 39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am – 12:30 pm
* Night Shift: 46 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
* £16.80 – £18.64 per hour plus 50% shift allowance on nights
