Company Overview:
Our client is a respected multi-disciplinary design practice known for delivering high-quality, design-led landscape and urban realm projects across the UK. Due to an increase in workload, they are seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect to join their Manchester studio on a contract basis, supporting a growing portfolio of public realm, residential, and infrastructure-led projects.
Role Overview:
This contract role offers the chance to contribute to a diverse range of live projects at varying RIBA stages, with the flexibility of a hybrid working setup — 3 days in the studio and 2 days from home. Ideal for someone seeking immediate engagement and the chance to hit the ground running in a dynamic design environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead or support the design and technical development of landscape schemes from concept through to construction.
* Produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD.
* Develop planting plans, hard landscaping details, and material specifications.
* Contribute to planning applications, LVIAs, and design statements.
* Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants.
* Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of design and technical accuracy.
Key Requirements:
* Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) – essential.
* Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD – essential.
* Solid understanding of UK planning policy and landscape architecture best practices.
* Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs under time constraints.
* Excellent design, graphic, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, Rhino, or SketchUp.
* Background in large-scale or infrastructure-related projects.
