Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Lead
The role of a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Lead includes:
* Provide technical line management including performance management for site-based M&E and Commissioning Engineers across your region.
* Help to integrate the design, construction and commissioning of plant and equipment within the Water sector by bringing other people's mechanical, electrical and/or process skills to practical benefit.
* Provide a "first point of contact" for Operations and Contracts Managers for all M&E and Commissioning delivery aspects on the schemes within your region.
* Ensure that M&E and Commissioning delivery elements of projects are undertaken in compliance with UU, WIMES and JNB Standards.
* Support H&S Initiatives and drive daily improvement in H&S performance.
* At framework and project level plan and programme the M&E and Commissioning aspects of the projects we deliver from inception to project handover.
* Ensure that our M&E and Commissioning engineers' skills are suitably matched to work scope and project type.
* Help deliver strategic procurement through appropriate selection of sub-contractors into projects and ongoing relationship building and performance management.
What you'll need
* HNC / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering or equivalent work-based learning experience.
* Understanding of M&E and Commissioning engineering principles and practices within a Civil engineering environment.
* Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
* A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
