Compliance and Regulatory Officer, Exeter, GBP Competitive (DOE) : You will play a key role in shaping best practice, promoting regulatory standards across the firm, and helping build a culture of continuous improvement. JOB REF:0824.
THE ROLE:
- Promoting the importance of compliance across the firm and embedding best practice across all departments
- Developing, updating, and implementing practical and efficient procedures, policies, and controls
- Escalating issues, breaches, or concerns appropriately and proactively offering solutions
- Drafting and updating template letters, conducting compliance checks, and designing training programmes for staff
- Playing a key role in the preparation and delivery of external accreditations
- Staying up to date with all relevant regulatory developments and supporting the firm to adapt as needed
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Experience in legal compliance, risk, or regulatory work within a professional services environment
- Solid understanding of AML legislation, SRA Codes of Conduct, and regulatory frameworks relevant to law firms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, problem:solving mindset
- Ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines with flexibility
- Strong IT skills and confidence using systems to improve compliance processes
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
