About the Role
EGGER Timberpak is looking for a reliable and safety-focused HGV Driver / Operator to join our team in Bellshill. This is a hands-on role combining professional driving with operational support on site, helping to ensure efficient collection, transport and handling of timber materials. You will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting site operations.

Starting salary £35,426 per annum (16.03/hr) - working 42.5 hrs per week, including paid breaks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Safely operate HGV vehicles including walking floor trailer and hook loader cover.
2. Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
3. Ensure loads are safe, secure and compliant before transport.
4. Follow all road safety, tachograph and transport regulations.
5. Deliver and collect materials from customer sites safely and professionally.
6. Maintain clear communication with customers, ensuring awareness of terms and conditions.
7. Adhere to customer site rules and maintain excellent service standards.
8. Report all incidents, hazards or near misses promptly.
9. Support site operations and maintain a clean, tidy working environment.
10. Complete required documentation including defect sheets and tachograph records.
11. Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicles.
12. Participate in training to operate Timberpak machinery and equipment.
What We’re Looking For
13. H.G.V. licence (class one) is essential, with a minimum of one years experience.
14. Valid driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
15. Strong commitment to health and safety.
16. Walking floor experience required.
17. Good awareness of vehicle safety, load security and driving regulations.
18. Customer-focused with a professional and courteous manner.
19. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
20. Flexible and reliable with a hands-on approach.
21. Recognised certificate holder for mobile plant (advantageous but not essential).
