Reference: 8b1d5f4f We are looking for a support worker to help our son, who has a chromosome disorder, ASD, and some learning delays, so he may need a little support with things like counting money or remembering his inhaler. Your role is all about having fun and making a difference! You’ll spend time with our son to help him enjoy activities such as: Playing computer and board games (Ludo, card games, Warhammer figure painting) Sports and outdoor activities (basketball, football, cycling) Train spotting & visits (David loves trains!) Trips out for food and ice cream Bowling, swimming, and cinema trips. Encourage independent skills and confidence in travelling on public transport and walking local routes. Ensure safety and wellbeing. The plan is that the role will commence approximately. May 2026, following a successful introduction, we can be flexible with the start date. Role Details Hours: 4 hours weekly (occasional weekend). Time: To be discussed at the interview Pay: £12.40 per hour. Location: Bath About You We’re looking for people who are: Kind, patient, and energetic, with a genuine interest in supporting young adults to develop independent skills. Reliable and trustworthy. Must have an Enhanced DBS check (or willing to complete one before starting – cost covered). Previous experience supporting young adolescents with autism, chromosome disorders and some learning delays would be helpful, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
