We are working with a well-established provider of therapeutic children’s services to recruit a Children’s Home Deputy Manager for a solo placement home in Huddersfield. Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
* Supervising, leading, and developing a team of care staff
* Ensuring care practices meet Ofsted requirements, quality standards, and legislative frameworks
* Providing therapeutic, child-centred care to young people who may struggle in larger group settings
* Promoting safeguarding, equal opportunities, and a safe, nurturing environment
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care home (within the last 5 years)
* At least 12 months’ experience supervising/managing staff in a care setting
* Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, legislation, and quality standards
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
* Applicants must be over 21 (industry regulations)
