We are looking for a Hand Picker to join our team in Clyst St Mary Exeter on a full time basis.
\n
As a Hand Picker you work on the installation in a team of about 6 people. You are mainly busy sorting the different metals and keeping the installation clean.
\n
Your duties will include (but are not restricted to);
\n
\n
* Sorting various minerals/raw materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and copper
\n
* Cleaning up the spills on and around the installation
\n
* Monitor the production process and in the event of a malfunction or obstruction, alarm/address the team leader
\n
* Help clean the installation manually at the end of the production day and/or during a malfunction and downtime
\n
* Being flexible in taking over other activities from colleagues
\n
* Ensuring maintenance and cleaning of your own workplace and installations during the day
\n
* Report any malfunctions or unsafe situations to the team leader
\n
* Complying with the NRC Safety Manual
\n
* Travel with the team to work off site in Worcestershire for a short period
\n
\n
If you have experience sorting out metals, then this is an advantage but it isn’t essential as training will be given.

Salary: £29,000 per annum based on a 48 hour week
\n
Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
