Role: VSI Technician Location: Port Talbot Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am 5:30pm | Alternating Saturdays, 8am 1pm Salary: Up to £15.50 per hour Overtime (£38,285) RSD Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a growing automotive client to recruit VSI Technicians into their busy technical team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background and a keen eye for safety and compliance, looking to work in a structured, professional workshop environment. What You'll Be Doing: Carrying out thorough Vehicle Safety Inspections (VSI) to the highest standard Performing repairs, diagnostic checks and general vehicle maintenance Recording all work accurately, including wheel torques, QC sign-off and compliance paperwork Ensuring every vehicle meets legal and roadworthy requirements Supporting in the preparation of vehicles for road testing using trade plates Liaising with internal parts teams to authorise and complete repair jobs Keeping work bays clean, organised and safe at all times Upholding traffic flow and workshop safety protocols What Were Looking For: Experience in vehicle inspections, servicing or general automotive repairs Strong attention to detail with an understanding of compliance requirements Confident using diagnostic tools and completing vehicle assessments Team player with a proactive, safety-first attitude Knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle roadworthiness regulations Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment What Youll Get: Competitive hourly rate overtime Set daytime hours no evening or night shifts Ongoing training and development opportunities A role in a forward-thinking, process-driven workshop Chance to be part of a team that values Service, Teamwork, Passion, Integrity and Community If you are a motivated individual with a passion for career development, we encourage you to apply for this exciting Vehicle Inspector opportunity.
