You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of Respite Support Worker. Eden Lodge and Wickett Hern Road are registered services which provide respite for adults who have a learning disability and/or associated physical disabilities. TheProperties comprise of 8 ground floor bedrooms and ten 1st floor bedrooms in total, between the two premises, and as part of the team at Respite Services, the respite support worker will ensure that patterns of care and support within the shift are based on the principles of good quality care while safeguarding legislation is maintained and reflecting control, cleanliness, comfort, safety, participation, involvement, privacy, dignity and choice.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high-quality service as required by the Care Quality Commission and Doncaster contractual residential standards.
* Provide person-centred care and support to guests within our respite services.
* Demonstrate positive communication and engagement with people we support and uphold unconditional positive regard.
* Follow agreed guidelines and work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team.
Qualifications and Skills
* We are looking for a calm, resourceful and energetic individual who is well motivated, hardworking, and keen to join our friendly team.
* Ability to follow guidelines and work as part of a collaborative team.
* Skills in positive communication and engagement and the ability to uphold dignity, participation, privacy, and choice in care.
