SEN Teacher – Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire Border
Salary: £37,000 – £54,000 (incl. welcome bonus)
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
I’m David Alaba, Partner at Key Health, and I’m supporting a specialist education provider on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border who is looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join their growing team.
This setting supports learners aged 6–19 with a wide mix of complex needs, including PMLD, SLD, MLD, autism, ADHD, physical and sensory impairments, medical needs and associated behavioural challenges. The environment is well-resourced, with on-site therapists, outdoor learning spaces and a Hydrotherapy pool.

The Role
• Deliver tailored learning that stretches and supports each pupil
• Create a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with therapists, leaders and support staff
• Contribute to curriculum planning and development
• Lead and guide classroom support teams
• Track, assess and report progress accurately
• Take part in personal care or physical intervention where needed
What We’re Looking For
• PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Strong understanding of Teacher Standards
• Experience or awareness of SEN (sensory-led approaches a bonus)
• Confident communicator with collaborative working style
• Strong organisation and accuracy in assessment
• Ability to lead and support additional adults in the classroom
