We are looking to appoint a hands-on Property Solicitor to support the business across a mix of commercial, litigation and property matters, with a particular focus on bringing commercial lease work in-house. This role is 5 days in the office!
This is a practical, delivery-focused role suited to a commercially minded lawyer who is comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and progressing matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Property Solicitor - Key Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of litigation and dispute matters from instruction through to resolution
* Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
Taking ownership of the company’s commercial lease portfolio, including:
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating leases
* managing renewals, variations and terminations
* advising on landlord and tenant matters
* Advising internal stakeholders on legal risk and commercial strategy in a clear and pragmatic way
* Instructing and liaising with external counsel where required
* Driving matters forward efficiently, balancing legal risk with commercial priorities
* Supporting the business in reducing reliance on external legal spend
Property Solicitor - Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (approx. 2–6 PQE, flexible)
* Strong background in litigation / disputes and/or commercial law
* Experience with commercial property / lease work (either primary focus or part of a broader role)
* Commercially minded — able to weigh risk vs outcome and make pragmatic decisions
* Comfortable working in grey areas and progressing matters without over-escalation
* Confident working independently and owning files end-to-end
* Clear communicator, able to advise non-legal stakeholders effectively
