We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to support the tax team with the various areas of direct tax to ensure deadlines are met.
What you'll do:
Manage the compliance process for the group corporation tax returns including but not limited to the following:
* Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for review by Group Tax Manager. Liaise with operating unit finance teams to ensure can correctly treat accounting information for tax purposes. Ensure group position is considered for the following - group relief, corporate interest restriction and any transfer pricing adjustments. Ensure returns are submitted on time.
* Prepare quarterly reporting spreadsheets for forecast and actuals on a timely basis to be reviewed by Group Tax Manager and input into UK HFM. Prepare grids on AB HFM to reflect the correct tax figures from the quarterly spreadsheets as uploaded into UK HFM.
* Prepare quarterly instalment payment schedules to be discussed with Group Tax Manager before review by Group Financial Controller and sign off by CFO. Ensure payment is made within required deadlines.
* Support the Group Tax Manager with tax advice to the business on corporate restructures
* Manage the relationships with operating units, external advisers and HMRC in relation to Corporation Tax
* Liaise with parent company tax team on transfer pricing and Pillar 2 and any other cross border requirements
* Country by country reporting requirements for parent company
What you'll bring to the role:
* Tax trained by qualification or experience having operated at a senior level (in industry preferable)
* Must have sound accounting experience and understanding / managing ERP related systems
* Excellent organiser and communicator
* Excellent excel and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail including good self-audit
* Good people skills with ability to engage on technical matters with non-technical staff
* Good at meeting deadlines
