Your new role
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Support the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
2. Work with pupils in small groups or 1:1 to reinforce learning.
3. Assist with literacy, numeracy, phonics, and guided reading.
4. Help manage pupil behaviour and promote engagement.
5. Support pupils with SEND or EAL needs.
6. Maintain a safe, clean, and positive learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Experience working with children in an educational setting (minimum 20 days in the last 2 years).
8. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
9. Strongmunication and relationship-building skills.
10. A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
11. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
