Tasks
* Set up and operate lighting, sound, and other technical equipment for theatre productions, your role is make the show happen safely, professionally and spectacularly
* Collaborate with directors and production teams to ensure smooth technical execution of performances, both pre, post and during their show weeks
* Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of theatre equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Assist in stage setup and breakdown, ensuring all technical aspects are ready for each show
* Train and supervise volunteers or part-time staff in basic technical operations and safety procedures
Requirements
* Experience in technical theatre operations, including lighting & sound, Stage management as a plus.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support performances and events.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
* Understanding of the enviornment in which YMCA Yorkshire Coast operates in
* Excellent communication skills to collaborate with performers, directors, and other team members.

Benefits
Holiday entitlement: Holiday is 22 days plus bank holidays pro-rata
Salary: Grade 2, currently £12.71 per hour
Permanent Contract, Part-Time
Miniumum Hours of 200 per annum but likely to be much more

We provide opportunities for people to feel safe, belong, and build confidence through youth work, community activities and targeted support. We also run community spaces that bring people together, including a theatre, a café and flexible studios for local groups. We work in partnership with schools, voluntary organisations and public services to respond to local need, reduce isolation and help people thrive.
