About The Role
Salford City College offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed trainer/assessor to join our dynamic apprenticeship delivery team. This permanent position is ideally suited to someone with an electrical installation background. As part of the building services engineering delivery team, you will work closely with colleagues, employers and apprentices to ensure that apprentices have an outstanding learning experience, successfully achieve their apprenticeship journey and advance within their chosen career.
Responsibilities
* Meet with stakeholders (both virtually and in‑person) to provide relevant information and guidance on the apprenticeship journey.
* Support apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours.
* Undertake site‑based assessments and review progress with employers and apprentices.
* Assist learners to achieve AM2S and maintain accurate records.
* Identify new apprenticeship opportunities and deliver short training courses.
* Help the team to reach and exceed ambitious targets.
Qualifications
* Relevant industry experience and qualifications.
* Experience of supporting apprentices undertaking installation or maintenance electrician apprenticeships.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ideally holds an assessor qualification.
* A teaching, training or IQA qualification and knowledge of e‑portfolio systems would also be beneficial.
