Our client, a prominent organisation in the highways sector, is seeking a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a complex caseload of enforcement cases, conducting investigations into alleged breaches of planning control and taking appropriate enforcement action including the preparation of enforcement reports and notices.
Support the Head of Development Management and Enforcement and Principal Planning Officers on a range of enforcement cases, ensuring they meet agreed performance targets.
Respond to public enquiries about the organisation's processes and timelines for considering enforcement cases.
Provide high-level stakeholder communication, keeping complainants and local councillors updated on case progress and outcomes.
Contribute to planning enforcement appeals, assisting with the preparation and presentation of the Development Corporation's case in various appeal types, including Written Representations, Hearings, and Inquiries.
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience in enforcement within the highways sector.
Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively.
Strong investigative skills and the ability to prepare detailed enforcement reports and notices.
Excellent communication skills for both public and stakeholder interactions.
Experience in assisting with planning enforcement appeals.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
