The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Melton Foods team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll shape and drive engineering strategy, ensuring our bakery runs safely, efficiently, and with a focus on continuous improvement. As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the entire Engineering function for your site, covering both bakery maintenance and site services, as well as capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership across engineering, asset care, and site services as well as be a duty holder for our Aylesbury bakery.
* Deliver robust maintenance and capital plans to support operational performance and growth.
* Champion a culture of health, safety and food safety compliance.
* Manage and develop your engineering teams, ensuring colleagues are skilled, motivated, and set up for success.
* Drive continuous improvement in reliability, cost control, and sustainability.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to support business performance and long-term success.
The Ideal Candidate
* Degree/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Multi site leadership experience.
* IOSH/NEBOSH certification (essential).
* Experience in asset management, maintenance planning, and delivering capital projects.
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
* A proactive, collaborative style with the ability to engage and inspire teams.
