Overview
Forever Independent is looking for a Senior Home Carer to join our small team someone who is dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to elderly clients in their own homes. This role involves developing and implementing care plans, supervising care staff, and ensuring that the highest standards of service are maintained.
Duties
* Supervise and support carers working in the community
* Communicate regularly with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Monitor the wellbeing of clients, providing companionship and emotional support as needed.
* Drive to clients' homes, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to scheduled call times.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition or needs.
* Order medication as required for the individual service user
* Take part in the on call rota 1 week in 2
* Shifts are : 7am - 2pm 3.30pm - 9.30pm
* fully Paid DBS conditions apply
* must be available to work every other weekend
Skills
* Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising care teams or someone who has been in care for at 2 years looking to progress
* Knowledge of senior care practices and relevant legislation.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and families.
* Ability to drive with access to own vehicle
* Able to work under own initiative
* NVQ Level 2 an advantage or willing to work towards

Pay: £13.00-£13.75 per hour
