Executive Assistant to Chief Executive
North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) – full‑time permanent position, Agenda for Change Band 7, Inner London HCAS.
Location: St Pancras Hospital, 4 St Pancras Way, London, NW1 0PE. Trust serves 1.8 million people across North London.
Job Summary
Provide comprehensive, responsive, efficient and effective support to the Chief Executive, enabling focus on strategic issues affecting the Trust and the wider health economy.
Key Responsibilities
* Diary management for the Chief Executive and senior staff.
* Corporate support – preparation of documents, correspondence, and reports.
* Coordinate and brief senior meetings, including taking minutes and action tracking.
* Business planning and facilitation of strategic initiatives.
* Administration of major projects and leading minor projects.
* Project management support for executive directives and objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum five years in a senior administrative/Executive Assistant role within a large NHS or equivalent organisation.
* Experience supporting Board-level staff and senior executives.
* Strong organisational, time‑management and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication; confident interaction with senior staff, stakeholders, patients, carers and regulators.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience developing systems and processes for a high‑profile corporate office.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise initiative and influence decisions.
Desirable
* Understanding of political and policy issues affecting the health service and local government.
* Experience with strategy and strategic analysis.
Education
* First degree required or equivalent professional experience.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
Legal & Other Information
* £56,276–£63,176 per annum plus Health and Care Support Allowance.
* Permanent, full‑time role.
* Professional disclosure and background checks required.
* Rehabilitation of Offenders Act exemption; DBS check mandatory.
* Skilled worker visa sponsorship available.
