Assignment Information
* Full-Time with Benefits
* Monday - Friday (when instruction is in session)
* 37.5 Hours/Week
* $15.50/Hour - Starting wage based on the Midland Federation of Paraprofessionals Master Bargaining Agreement
Assignment Functions and Responsibilities
Work with students in the Emotional Impairment (EI) Program, using positive behavior supports and teaching social skills. Provide guidance that respects student dignity and communicates respect.
* Support in Emotional Impaired Classroom
* Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Abilities
* Organization and time management
* Dependable attendance
* Ability to explain curriculum expectations
* Professional collaboration with staff, students, parents, and providers
* Ability to provide positive guidance with dignity and respect
* Basic technology skills
* Assist with personal care needs
* Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, walk, and lift as needed
* Experience with behavioral management techniques
