About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated engineer specializing in Door Entry, Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, and Warden Call systems to join our team. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and installing systems across residential and commercial properties in SE and SW London postcodes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service & Maintenance: Conduct routine and reactive maintenance for Door Entry systems, Fire Alarm systems, Emergency Lighting, and Warden Call systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
2. Installation: Carry out new installations or upgrades of the systems mentioned, ensuring a high standard of work.
3. Fault Finding & Repairs: Identify faults and perform repairs to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
4. Compliance: Ensure all work meets relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards, including BS5839 for fire alarms.
5. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, offering professional advice and clear communication.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of completed works, including service reports, risk assessments, and maintenance logs.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. Proven experience working on Door Entry, Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and Warden Call systems.
2. Strong knowledge of relevant standards and compliance requirements (e.g., BS5839, BS5266).
3. Competency in fault finding, repairs, and system installation.
4. Experience working in residential and commercial environments.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Full UK driving license.
8. Experience with leading brands and manufacturers of the systems mentioned (e.g., Paxton, Texecom, Aico, Gent).
9. Knowledge of networking and IP-based systems.
10. Qualifications in fire safety or electrical installation (e.g., FIA, 17th/18th Edition).
