A Senior Buyer position has arisen within the Procurement Department for South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for procuring goods and services for their designated portfolio and supporting a team of 16 procurement staff. They will utilize their extensive knowledge of EU and UK contracting law to deliver value-for-money contracts for a wide range of goods and services.
Main duties of the job
* Contracting for various goods and services to ensure compliance and deliver savings.
* Protecting the Trust commercially, escalating risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
* Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities for statutory and audit purposes.
* Creating work plans and procurement strategies aligned with business needs.

Qualifications
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply – Level 4.
* Attendance at leadership and improvement programmes (4.5 days).
* Degree or equivalent (highly desirable).
Experience
* Experience in NHS purchasing and procurement.

Candidates requiring DBS clearance will need to pay the cost via salary deduction from their first month's pay.
