Higher Level Teaching Assistant Early Years Class North Somerset ASAP start Part-Time I am working with a lovely Primary School in the BS48 area of North Somerset who are currently looking for an educator to take on the role of a HLTA within an EYFS class. Whether you are a qualified teacher or HLTA, this role could be for you. This Primary School is a small 1 form entry village school who thrive on the impact they have made and continue to make in their community. They work hard to build strong relationships with the pupils and their families, providing an inclusive learning environment for each of them to grow. The Role This role is a part-time position (Monday to Wednesday) working 8:30 to 3:30. The Head Teacher is looking for a candidate who is either a HLTA or Qualified Teacher who is looking to take a step back and work as a Teaching Assistant, leading interventions but also take on responsibilities of covering the class when the Class Teacher is out for absence, PPA or time out of class. You will be joining another member of staff in the Nursery Class, working closely with a maximum of 15 children. You will be delivering group activities around the nursery class, supporting their social, emotional and educational development. You will be expected to: Be confident in assessing children’s development Work closely with other members of staff to support young children. Build strong relationships with children and families.
