Royal Mail are recruiting for drivers in Hull Malmo Road Delivery Office, Kingston upon Hull, Hull, HU7 0AA. Job Reference Number 330179.
About the Role
As a member of the driving team, you will be the public face of Royal Mail and an established part of the community. Much of your day will involve driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers and Post Offices, and transporting mail between our Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times. You will also be loading and unloading your van and sorting mail into the correct onward distribution.
About You
Upbeat and self-motivated, you will be comfortable working alone or as part of a team. You should enjoy being outdoors in all weather and be willing to do a job that involves walking on every round, helping you stay fit. Some experience in a customer-facing role would be ideal. You should be flexible with shifts and have a strong sense of community.
Driving Licence Requirements
* A C1 Category licence (at your current UK address) with no more than 6 penalty points is essential; a clean licence is preferred. You will need to show this at assessment.
* Periodic Driver CPC (Card) qualification and a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours of training to be eligible to apply.
* Digital Tachograph Card may need to be presented if selected for assessment.

Pay and Benefits
You will be paid weekly, with overtime and shift allowance where applicable.
Salary: £602.60 per week pro rata
Hours of work: Permanent part-time contracts, 29 hours per week. The days and hours are Mondays 13:00–22:00, Fridays 05:00–13:00, Saturdays 05:10–17:10.
