We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join our civil engineering team working in Southampton
As the Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis
2. Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy
3. Ensuring that quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with Client specification
4. Providing engineering support to ensure any technical problems are overcome
5. Conducting pre-start site surveys
6. Ensuring a timely handover of works and quality records without outstanding defects, working closely with the Project Manager and installation teams
7. Operating and promoting a high standard of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
8. Site calibration checks
9. Assisting in resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
To be successful in this position, the Site Engineer must have:
10. Have previously worked on heavy civils, clean water, cofferdams
11. Have a proven track record of setting out on civil engineering projects
12. Possess a sound knowledge of construction methods, Health & Safety and legal regulations
13. A valid CSCS card
14. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site-based team and Clients
15. The ability to work effectively as part of a team
16. Proven troubleshooting skills
