Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in metrology, manufacturing and capital equipment (CAPEX)?

This is a high-impact, consultative sales role where you’ll work with cutting-edge CMM technology, build long-term customer partnerships, and drive growth across a defined territory.

The Role

As a CMM Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering sales performance across your territory, developing new business opportunities, and managing key customer relationships.

You’ll take ownership of the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation through to closing complex, high-value deals.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

1. Own and grow accounts within your territory, delivering order intake against targets

2. Develop and execute account plans to increase share of wallet

3. Manage a robust sales pipeline from lead to purchase order

4. Proactively identify and win new business opportunities

Business Development

5. Generate new leads through self-initiated activity and marketing support

6. Build strong relationships with customers across multiple stakeholders and levels

7. Position ZEISS solutions to solve real manufacturing and quality challenges

Collaboration & Delivery

8. Work closely with Product Sales Managers, Applications Engineers, and global teams

9. Ensure a smooth transition from sale to order fulfilment and delivery

10. Support demonstrations, events, and exhibitions where required

CRM & Process

11. Maintain accurate records within CRM (pipeline, accounts, contacts)

12. Follow and embed the ZEISS Sales Process (ZSP) for consistent success

What We’re Looking For

13. Proven experience in metrology, manufacturing, or technical sales

14. Understanding of CMMs, metrology and quality inspection

15. Track record in CAPEX / complex solution sales

16. Experience in account management and new business development

17. Background working with industries such as:

Aerospace & Defence

Medical Devices

Precision Engineering
