Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to support Professor Matt Gaunt and his 25+ research group. Also, to support the CDT Programme for which Professor Gaunt is the Director, that is currently running in the department.
Responsibilities
* Complex diary management.
* Circulating and responding to frequently urgent information.
* Complex travel arrangements.
* Handling expense claims.
* Arranging meetings.
* Preparing documents, letters and reports.
* Liaising with the Department, University and external stakeholders.
* Dealing with the annual Research Fish submission.
* Monitoring grant expenditure against budgets.
* Updating the course website as required.
* Providing full administrative assistance.
Qualifications
* Educated to HND level or have the equivalent level of practical experience.
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels.
* Highly competent in Microsoft Office.
* Good time management and ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload.
Working Hours
This role is suitable for a minimum of 25 hours per week up to full time. Days and hours to be worked will be negotiable on appointment if part time is preferred. However, there is an expectation the successful candidate will work in the department for a minimum of 4 days a week.
