Role Overview
Quantum Science (QS) has an exciting new opportunity for a Production Chemist interested in advancing their career in the materials industry. The role offers excellent training and development opportunities, focusing on process development and production of colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) and other nanomaterials for optoelectronic applications.

Main tasks and responsibilities
* Plan and develop safe, cost-effective manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots, scaling from lab to full-scale production.
* Provide technical solutions and troubleshoot manufacturing issues, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
* Assess equipment and facilities during scale-up, including maintenance and efficiency optimization.
* Collaborate with R&D and scale-up teams for technology transfer.
* Continuously optimize and develop existing and new product lines for quality and cost-effectiveness.
* Document SOPs for manufacturing and testing processes.
* Prepare timely reports on work undertaken.
Skills and Experience
* BSc or MSc in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or related field.
* Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization is advantageous.
* At least 1 year of industrial experience in process development, reactor setup, and scaling up colloidal quantum dots and nanomaterials.
* Practical hands-on laboratory skills and a proactive attitude.
* Flexibility and team-oriented mindset.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Sending samples to QS teams and customers promptly
* Identifying equipment needs and procurement
